These activities were chosen because the should be able to be done with household ingredients/materials i.e. kitchen science.

I have given each activity a difficulty rating from one (easy)         to three                   (more difficult and needs adult or teenage supervision). Each activity also has a time guide (add more time if you've got younger kids!).

I have also tested the activities so I know they all work!

With some of these activities, you can reuse the solutions for another activity, for example if you do the density tower you can reuse the salt solution for the crystal growing activity.

A 1.5 L bottle of soda can be used for several activities: balloon inflator #2 and swimming raisins.
